Blog post [008] [26 Aug 2010|11:34am]
Why the hell haven't the police found these fucking terrorists yet? What's this, the second or third thing they've blown up? Destroying our universities and our history and no one seems to fucking care. I'd go out and find them myself if I had better knees.

Shame on you, America, for not giving a flying fuck. It's like you WANT the terrorists to win.

Fucking hooligans. Punks, all of them. Someone needs to give them a good kick in the pants, just like those Texan idiots too. And that UN fool.

At least I don't have to see that stupid Mexican kid's show anymore. And football preseason is beating that stupid rollerball in ratings. Stupid sport - everything has to be faster and shinier to keep folks attention these days. I blame the internet. Just give me a good old football or baseball game and I'll be happy.

All of you dirty foreigners writing about other countries are doing it wrong. Face it, you're in the best country on earth so I can't figure out why you're still complaining. If you still don't get it, let me explain it to you.

I fought in two wars for this country, one which wasn't too popular. I fought with men who had new wives and children at home, men who were missing watching their children growing up, men who were giving up going to college and men who knew there was a chance their wife would be a widow and their children wouldn't have a father, and they were still willing to be there because they damn well knew their country needed them. And if a country that's given you so much, that lets you go to school and work and church without fearing for your life, wants you to do your duty, you're hella selfish if you won't. You're living in a country that lets you say whatever the hell you want, and you're still complaining. And I'm not saying you shouldn't have that right, just that you're a fucking idiot for still doing it.

I've got a daughter, and if I lived in half the other countries in this world, she probably wouldn't have gone to school. She'd probably have been married off at some young age because they don't believe in freedom. Especially if it were some Arab or Commie country. And you know what, other countries hate us for our freedom. They hate that my daughter got to go to school and to go to a good Christian church and that with good hard work she could make a good life for herself. They hate that.

Sometimes I think most of you seem to have forgotten that we lost HALF OUR FUCKING COUNTRY to some terrorists and that they're still out there. You complain about America like we're the enemy when let me tell you, I've spent decades in the armed forces and our government wants nothing the best for America. It's like you punks these days think it's wrong to believe that America is the greatest earthly force for good the world has ever known.

We are under attack and the enemy's doing everything within its power to destroy the government and to drive us out of the world we live in. These terrorists fight not just to end lives, but to disrupt and end a way of life. They hate our religion and our capitalism and our freedom. You think I'm not telling the truth? It's called 11/17. That wasn't a tea party, you fucktards. And now you're complaining about what's going on? Things are going to get worse before they get better, but patriotism is knowing that they WILL get better. Our country isn't going to give up until we hold those terrorists accountable and make sure they know the United States can't ever be attacked again. They're going to see God on our side and they're going to know that he's American.

A patriot is someone who loves their country and I sure as hell am a patriot.

You think this is bad? Freedom isn't free folks, and it's not something you're just entitled to. Hundreds of thousands of people died on 11/17 and you still can't get it through your thick skulls that freedom's got a price. This great nation was STARTED by people who gave up their lives so you could live in a free country and worship who you want (or not) and say whatever you want and so that a person can do anything with a bit of hard work, and people have been dying to defend those rights ever since. Least you can all do is not take it for granted.

Police came into my apartment too, burst in on me in my bathrobe watching Jeopardy! because they though my dog Duke was another person. And I'm glad they did. I'm glad they're making sure I don't have some terrorist with me who is going to set off another bomb and destroy the other half of the country. Freedom isn't free and if that's the price I have to pay to stay alive and stay in this country, that's all right in my book.

Web Blog Post [002] [14 May 2010|03:45am]
I just lost a poker bet with my fortune cookie dumbass of a landlord, Shin Kim, and now I've got to start doing this web blogging thing regularly for two months. Too bad I'm a man of my word because most of you seem like a bunch of Pollocks so far. Suppose though if I'm playing poker with Shin I can't really do much worse.

Okay then. I'm Larry Schweitzer from Omaha, Nebraska where I would much rather be right now than this shithole of a city. I'm 74 years old which means yes I lived through the "raging sixties" but I didn't do any of that hippy bullshit with the long hair and the peace love and being infertile because of too much mary jane. I also wasn't a draft-dodging coward. I proudly served my country in both Vietnam and Desert Storm and I'm a retired Sergeant First Class for the U.S. Army. After I retired I worked for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers as a civilian, so I know a thing or two about good, hard work and real work ethic.

So that's me, and if you're not a dumbass, punk kid, God-damned foreigner or bomb-loving rebel, you should introduce yourself so I have someone to write to while I'm forced to use this for the next two months before I can throw it back into the drawer where it belongs.

SFC Larry Schweitzer, USA, Retired
